Drunk driver crashes at Port Lincoln | Port Lincoln Times

A man was reported for drink-driving after a crash at Port Lincoln on Tuesday evening.

Police received a report at about 6pm of a vehicle crashing into a stobie pole on Tyler Street before driving off.

Police located the vehicle parked on Mortlock Terrace and spoke with the driver, who was then submitted to a breath test.

He allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.254, more than five times the legal limit.

A 59-year-old Port Lincoln man was reported for drink-driving and was issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence notice.

His car was impounded and he will be summoned to appear in court at a later date.
